Wednesday Wisdom – 11/30/16

It’s almost Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza Time! If you are like me, it is a dreadful time of year. Why you ask, well I will tell you! This is the time of year where everyone spends way too much money on stuff they don’t need to buy anyone but do anyways. Then they regret it all next year until it comes back to holiday time next year! That is why this year we are doing a destination Christmas! We are going to San Francisco from the 23rd to the 27th and hanging out and just enjoying the city. This is a time for us to bond as a family and enjoy each other instead of stuff.

I find that the older I ge the less stuff I need, but the more i want to make memories with my family before my kids get too old to want to hang out and my wife gets tired of me (just kidding, she adores me!). I am hoping to make this the new way we spend Christmas, making memories instead of making more payments for things my kids will forget about in a few weeks.

I also want to use this time to help my fellow man. If the election taught me anything it’s that if I want to make the world a better place i can’t put my trust in the lesser of five evils (yes, I counted Evan McMullin, Jill Stein, and Gary Johnson). I am going to spend the 24 days up until Christmas doing the #LIGHTtheWORLD events and making my mark on the world and the people in it.  Join me!
