Monday Morning Comebacks – September 26, 2016

Thank you for coming back this morning. It is Monday. No one is ever excited for it. Today is also the first presidental debat between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. While this would normally sound like a WWE Main Event, it is not something I am looking formward to. I don’t want to be political but I feel like I should step up and say something. Neither candidate excites me. I am a fiscal conservative and social liberal.

By that I mean I think we should have flat tax system (based on spending not income), universal healthcare, free community college, import taxes, and end foreign aid. I believe that families are the most important unit in society and we should help the family unit stay together by providing  family, parenting, and couples counseling for low or no cost. All people should have equal rights without regard to race, gender or creed.

I believe that we should provide a path for citizenship and that we should find a way to protect our borders while helping people to come to America. We need to support the Veterans and homeless which are an underserved population of society and revamp the VA system.  I think communities should employ civilain police review boards to assist with protecting the community. These should be volunteer postions and work along side police to find the best way to provide for thier community.

Overall, I belive that the economy, security, and public safety are the biggest issues. Maybe someday I will run for office. Until then laugh with me.
